The Gospel Lived: Following Jesus, Loving Truth, Joyously Generous
In the opening message, Scripture challenges us to reflect deeply on our spiritual condition and motives. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 9:9–13 that He came not for the self-righteous, but for those who recognize their need for grace—calling us to follow Him with humility and mercy. Paul warns in 2 Thessalonians 2:7–10 and 1 Peter 4:17 that God’s people must remain grounded in truth, allowing the Spirit to search and refine our hearts rather than drifting into deception or complacency.
This series also emphasizes joyful generosity as a natural response to God’s grace. In 2 Corinthians 8:1–5 and 2 Corinthians 9:6–11, we see that generosity flows not from obligation, but from hearts fully surrendered to Christ—trusting God to provide as we faithfully sow into His work and the lives of others.
Finally, passages like 2 Corinthians 13:5 invite us into honest self-examination, asking whether we are truly living out our faith with intention. Together, these Scriptures challenge us to move beyond passive Christianity and step into lives marked by obedience, truth, generosity, and love.
Living Intentionally for God and Others is an invitation to align our hearts with Christ, our lives with truth, and our actions with joyful generosity—for the glory of God and the good of others.
